There’s a small munincipal airport about a mile up the road and the flight path for takeoff and landing is over our house. That’s okay with Adam because he absolutely loves watching the planes fly over…
I’m sure he can just imagine himself soaring through the clouds!
We recently picked up a copy of Despicable Me on Blu-Ray.
The boys love it…especially Alex! (Dad likes it, too!)
The story features super-villain Felonious Gru (Steve Carell), who operates out of his suburban home that serves as a front for an underground lair where he, his partner, Dr. Nefario (Russell Brand), and thousands of short yellow minions plan their nefarious deeds. The minions are these little yellow, ovalish creatures in blue coveralls that sound just like Alex when they laugh!
Evidently, they think so, too…

Today we spent some time at Longboat Key and visited the Mote Aquarium…
We saw sharks and rays, and all manner of marine life…
like jelly fish…

It’s been a l-o-n-g week, and I come home, change into my sweatshirt and shorts, grab a beer out of the fridge, and sit down in the rocker to watch the news.
No sooner do I sit down when Alex, the little monkey-man, comes charging across the room and practically leaps into my lap! He then wiggles into a position that looks very similar to mine, places his little had around my beer bottle, and turns his eyes to the television and Special Report with Bret Baier

I recently visited the Bass Pro Shop in Prattville, Alabama. Naturally, I bought a hat…not just one for me, I also picked-up a couple for the boys, and they really liked them!
( I really just wanted my “Humpy’s” hat back )
Cindy took the boys on an outing to the BucksMont Indoor Sports Center to burn off some late-morning energy. They had lots of toys and games for the kids, and while Adam found a sporty “Little Tykes” car to cruise in…
